I've been searching audizine for the past 30-40mins trying to find an answer for my question but there really are no indepth answers of such.
I recently bought a 1997 Audi A4 1.8TQM with ALL paperwork from an Audi Dealership (from every single tire patch, to every single major thing)
Now what's really worrying right now is, the last timing belt job was performed at 97,456 miles on 12/19/2001 at Larson Audi of Tacoma. With a new waterpump/tensioner, etc.
Now the car has 166,640 miles on it and i can hear something beginning to chirp. The chirping sound increase with the RPM's and is consistent.
I know i'll definetly be getting a tbelt job done ASAP, but is this something that is common? the chirping noise, and is it related to the tbelt?
I know its not the axels for sure. Oh and can someone please link me a DIY Tbelt job? I am very handy with a wrench and have been modifying Honda's for a good 2-3 years, just never got into the euro world till now and im loving the AWD :]
