So i got into an accident in a wal-mart parking lot yesterday ... My car is pretty messed up. All front end damage.. I hit a mercedes passenger side doors. It was a shitty parking lot that the cop said accidents happen in alllll the time. As a matter of fact after he was doing writing up my report, someone walked up to the cop and said "theres another one up there" further in the lot.
It was an intersection i could not tell was an intersection. I was driving down an aisle of parked cars, and then slam... it happened so quick that when i saw an air bag in my face and smoke coming out of the steering wheel i didnt know what the hell happened at first... I had no stop or yeild sign, there was no line painted on the road indicating i should stop. There was a white arrow painted though basically showing direction of traffic, so my side had the arrow pointed straight, then right next to it an arrow pointing back... It looked as if i was driving down the lot and there was just an opening with no cars parked in about four spots on both sides,,,, little did i know it was another path for cars to drive in.. The mercedes had no stop or yeild signs either... the other side (as if you were driving the opposite direction i was) had a stop painted on the ground with the line to stop at, but was not visible from where i was..... i think it will end up being more my fault, but idk,, maybe 50/50...
my and my girlfriend were ok in my car, just had my wrist burned a little by the air bag. the mercedes i hit, the older woman in the passenger seat said her shoulder hurt a little bit but she didnt take an ambulance or anything, they actually left the scene within 20 minutes of the accident happening.. the cops were on the scene within 2 minutes (already on the lot)
My car's bumper, hood, at least the drivers side headlight and fender are damaged, antifreeze was pouring out, horn stayed on, and i would assume radiator was pushed in, who knows what else under the hood... looks like a crazy amount of damage considering i was probably going no more then 15 mph..
Heres my questions (pictures will be posted shortly):
1- Should i try to have the car totaled by the appraiser tomorrow? Idk how i feel about driving it since the airbag blew and because of possible frame damage? if so how do i go about it? (my car is being financed as well if that makes a difference in the process?? i have no idea how this stuff works)
2 - if its not totaled, I would like to get the USP front, and pay what i would assume to be a little extra difference... I already have a $500 deductible, and dont mind paying an extra 100-200 for the usp parts... also i have stock halogens, if i wanted to have them order me HID's and pay whatever extra that would be, what do you tihnk that would run me? Is it possible to have them pay for whatever the stock halogens and stock bumper costs,then i just give the shop the extra money for the bumper + HID's?
I work for enterprise so I think im going to have it moved to one of the shops we do a lot of business with, plus i hope since i know the guys at the shop they can help me get the USP parts over stock bumper...??? any thoughts guys??

. i loved this car. If it does get totaled (which i dont think it will be) though i will just be looking to get a USP or just another A4 with a sport package at least because this one was base model, I just did my suspension + wheels + tints. had more plans but now idk

..... i mentioned it to my insurance as far as if the lot owners should be in some way held responsible too because there are no clear signs... and they said they very rarely get anything out of a case like that.... cop said they took years to get the reality company that owns the lot to even make them turn all the lights on in the lots at night (its a big shopping plaza).. i never even shop at wal-mart except this time
..... anyone?? im assuming im just going to talk to the shop workers... but should i try and ask them to avoid letting the insurance know??
