Swapped Xenons, car died

My fellow Audiziner/friend and I swapped my Xenons headlights so he can try them on his car, except that his car wont start now. All we did is swap the headlights, nothing more, nothing less. Its not the battery. We are getting the following errors:

01206 Signal for Duration of Ignition

01317 Control Module in Instrument Cluster

17072 ECM Power Relay Load Circuit:

01826 Sensor for Steering Angle (G85)

Any first guesses? Thanks

With some searching, am told to:

* Check/Replace Power Supply Relay for Engine Control Module (J271)

* Check Wiring between Engine Control Module (J220) and Power Supply Relay for Engine Control Module (J271)

* Check/Replace Engine Control Module (J220)

Anyone replaced this before and can give us an idea of what needs to be done exactly?

Sounds like a blown fuse.

Checked all fuses one by one, they all seem good. Thats what we first thought.

The weird thing is that when I put my Xenons on his car, they actually worked, but when I left and he wanted to start his car...no go.

Also, the hand brake light keeps flashing, and we hear 3 beeps when we put the car on start mode.

Thanks for posting man, I really apreciate it.

From what I found also:

1)the power supply relay for the engine control module (J 271) could have failed.

2) Or an open circuit on the wires/connections between the ECM (J 220) and the power supply relay. The J 271 is located under the ECU, so not going there tonight. I'll take a @#$$% walk to the corner store and get myself a 12pack and call it a night!

3) Don't want to talk about that one

...

I still don't see how this could be related, guess I'm taking a sick day tomorrow.
