    Boost Gauge???

    ok guys, post up your pics on where/how you mounted your boost gauges and which gauge you decided to go with. I've recently chipped my car and would like to add a gauge but don't see anything for my c5 A6.....

    Welcome to the club. The only option I have seen is custom
    Through out the years, People have used "Chopstix" to eat rice.........I do the same.

    Yup. Custom is the only way to go for now. I have been meaning to make a mold of mine so I can reproduce it but, I keep getting backed up with other chores lately...

    here's what one AZer has done -- hmmm.

    Uses the change-holder/Biz-card slot

    Nothing going to bring it back: 2000 C5 2.7T 6sp MT
    Ming Blue, S6 Blades, EuroSpoiler,
    GIAC-93, AWE DPs to Milltek Catback,
    RS4 Clutch, JHM DT-Stabilizer, VAST Short-Shifter,
    H&R Sways, Eibach Pro-kit, Bilstein Sport Shocks, etc., ...
    NOW: '10 Jetta TDI w 6MT, Revo Tune Commuter Car

    i like that but I don't think I've seen it done on an C5 before.

    I'm kinda hoping VMR will make those integrated boost gauge vents for our cars.

    I'd rather not use vent (should have been in panel design between tach and speedo, really -- the cold/hot dial is superfluous with temp gauge);

    On C5, the digital gauge could be left side of hazard switch -- A3 shown has on passenger side.

    here is my set up. I did not want to sacrifice the vent either. total cost about 100$. sorry for the bad pics. Red when lights are on, blue and white with them off.

    I acutally have mine on the A pillars in the car. I know there's negative thoughts on this but I decided to take that chance. I've also made a custom boost gauge pod for the steering column but haven't used it due to the dual A pillar gauge pods.

    guess I've gotta get another top steering wheel cover and fab a pod into the right side of it. Don't care if it's there if all it will cover is the voltmeter and 160mph ofthe speedo. Or maybe a digital in the center of that trim panel....hmm

    Jon - he took components from cyberdine gauge -- an impressive DIY. I'm hoping he'll do kits! (see A3 forum) I think I prefer analog, but I also like it not in vent.
