    Hey all-
heading to LV on Nov12 for a medical conference, and would like to know of any good steakhouses in LV, preferrably on the strip, to allow for staggering to the next stop! Thanks guys

Bro, I believe I just set another group up for the medical conference you are going to. I would suggest BOA in the the forums shops. It has a real modern theme. The drinks there are some of the best in Vegas, other then Onyx bar in Red Rock.

    Will-
How about the food? Is the food up to par, because, let's face it, thats the point of the steak house, no?

    Re: LV steak houses

Yah sorry, I personally love the food there. Unless they somehow screwed something it all up since the last time going there, which I doubt. There are probably more very good steakhouses in Vegas but for my I love BOA. I been to one more that I cant remember the name, that place was very good too. But BOA take it all a whole.

Bro, I just seen that you are form LA. You have a BOA steakhouse there.

    Re: LV steak houses

Yeah, I know we do. I've never been there, preferring to go to ones I know well, ie Pacific Dining Car (open 24 hours), Arroyo Chop House, The Derby, Ruth's Chris. But, when I go to LV, I like to do something different, something a little more upscale, than I would normally do. So, I'll give it a try. Are you going to the GTG on the 8th? I'm gonna try to ditch a couple of the lectures and drop by. I mean, c'mon, Audis and free food? Whats not to like?

    Re: LV steak houses

Well i can chime in on this and recommend Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab.

We have some of the BEST Prime Steaks in town. Feel free to look up reviews on Open Table if you'd like.

We are also located in the Ceasar's Forum Shops.....on the 1st level. We are right next to the Vallet.

You can check us out at www.icon.com/joes

Let me know when you want to come in and i can send you a lil something something when you dine there. Or i'll come by and say Hi if i'm working.

Just a sample of some of the steaks we offer: Bone-In Fillet, Bone-In Rib-eye, Bone-In NY, as well as a Poterhouse that's big enough for 2. We also have them off the bone and are currently featuring a 16oz Dry Aged NY.

And if your in the mood for seafood, Stone Crab season just started a few weeks ago, so we have some super fresh stone crab as well as FRESH alaskian King Crab Legs. That season also just started a couple weeks ago and is only 36 hours old from ship to my back door.

    ^^^Joe's is AMAZING^^^
Service is spectacular, food second to none. As a customer, I highly recommend, but you'll want a fridge and microwave in your room as they are not stingy with their portions.

    Re: LV steak houses

Go to Joe's Stone Crab!!! Start with an order of the stone crab for appetizer. I ALWAYS get the bone in filet every single time, although I do sample what ever my fiance or friends order. The sweet potato french fries are like crack. Grilled chili lime corn is amazing (probably seasonal). I haven't had a bad experience there yet. I have been to most of the other steak houses around (Ruth Chris', Brand, Flemings, Morton, Smith & Wollensky, Charlie Palmers, etc.) and though they aren't bad and I would go to them again I always prefer Joe's. In case you have never heard of them please don't think we are talking about Joe's Crab Shack. LOL!!!

    Re: LV steak houses

Given the overwhelmingly positive feedback, and, in no small part, due to the fact that one of our own is the Sous Chef there (we must support our own, after all), I have made a reservation at Joe's.
I will gorge myself as much as possible on the crab and steak, as well as many alcoholic beverages, all in the name of bringing an accurate review to the fine people of this board!
I know, I know, its a great sacrifice, but one I'm willing to make for all my AZ brethren!

Feel free to let me know if you guys need reso's. I am always willing to help out my fellow AZers and expose you all to the great food of Joe's. Or just to make you feel special that you can get Reso's from some-1 on the "inside."

Also, thank you for the comment of not confusing us with Joe's Crab Shack. It's the most common question I get when I tell people i work at Joe's.

Chris, I've got a date night with my wife tonight. She works very hard and more than deserves it. She the General Manager of Old Navy in the Best of the West and has swung rare weekend night off. She's a huge fan of James Bond and of Joe's, so tonight could be a perfect match for her. I know it's last minute but I'd like to make Joe's our final stop. Any vacancies tonight? I'll wait for a while before I call the restaurant on my own to see if you find this post in time.
    Thanks!...Steve

    Chris,
All we can say is wow! Unbelievable service, food, and a beautiful crowd as well (not an empty table to be seen). Too bad you weren't working that night. Suzanne, Katerina, Thomas and the rest of your people took such good care of us it was like we were long time friends. We felt like total VIPs. We took your recommendation and started with wine and a large order of Stone Crabs, followed by the bone-in filet's (cooked perfectly by Chef Ron) with mashed potatoes and sweet corn. We ended it with a half slice of banana cream and coconut cream pies. Wow! Please pass on our thanks to your team again.
    Steve

The movie was only so-so. The action was plentiful and exciting....they covered the full gamut of car, boat, motorcycle and airplane chases, but it couldn't carry the almost non-existent story-line or the weak villain...was there even a villain? Additionally, there was not a single gadget to be seen. We were a bit disappointed after liking the previous Bond movie so much.
