Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
well, I remember somebody saying we needed one awhile back, so I here it is.

show me your custom windows in the block, burnt and bent valves, twisted axles, even what happens when you hit a tree.

Show me some (B5 only) carnage.

    I'll start.

    ... and go

    Round 1: Guard rail won.

and the knock out: Tree won.

Yes, apparently I'm not good at controlling the car in rain.. Believe it or not the first one was completely my fault and I was being an idiot, the second was out of my hands (with the exception of having nearly bald tires in rain which was to be addressed 8 days AFTER the accident occurred --> soonest I could drive home and have new tires mounted).

Yup, I was amazed at how much damage was done. I was going 25ish. Pulled left out of school onto 4 lane road (so wide left) in rain with heavy traffic both ways. Too heavy on throttle and all 4 tires were spinning, ended up aimed towards oncoming traffic, over corrected right and tail swung out --> now perpendicular to road instead of parallel, clipped tree. All happened in about 5 seconds. From stand still to about 100 or so feet down the road.

I think it looks so bad because impact point was so small (damage to bark on tree was about the size/shape of a football).

14,800 total or for your car? I assume and hope thats total! Looks like lots of suspension, drivetrain, and maybe frame damage though (in addition to the obvious). Sorry to hear and see though. Cops say anything about the tint or no concern?

thanks.. and no they're not totalling it.. being fixed as we speak.. alot of it is suspension.. front door, back door skin.. labor etc... which is a shitty deal i was hoping for it to be totalled wouldve got an S.. and cops here aren't really that anal about tint... i hope to god it drives somewhat the same as before :S

    Re: The Official Carnage thread.

Sorry, I guess I didn't phrase that correctly. Is the 14,800 for just your car or both cars? I had suspension damage to a 98 jeep cherokee (impact at exact same spot as yours) and it had tons of play in the steering after being "fixed." Every suspension part on the right side was replaced and it still never tracked right. Granted that was a jeep cherokee which was admittedly horrible from the beginning. Hopefully yours turns out much better!

Since this needs more pics and less talk. Here's my first Audi. Don't lock the car and leave the keys inside the house while it's burning down.

I did not own this car when the fire occurred. I sold it to my roommate >1 month before hand.

The car behind it was locked and in Park. The Audi was a 2.8 12V 5speed w/ >170K on it, like I said, I didn't own it at the time. My roommate owned it.

    Little overly hostile.

I'd rather see his wrecked gear box than your comment complaining about his post. Which is more on topic, showing carnage of some sort or complaining? Hmm, he wins.
