    Drop with 20" rims

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Ok so I have 2 questions. My first is I want to jump up to 20" rims, and I want to know what is the perfect size rims and tires with no rubbing issues. Also I have a USP and want to lower the car alittle to remove the gap. What setup would be best for doing this without breaking the bank and how high would you set the front and the back. Please if anyone has some pics please share. Thanks

    My car in summermode
8,5x20" ASA SH1 rims with Nokian 235/30/20" tires
Car is s-line but with 50mm springs instead of the original s-line ones.

    Re: Drop with 20" rims

iForged Monaco, 20"x8.5" front and 20"x9.5" rear wrapped on Falken FK452 245/30/30. I'm on Koni coilovers and the ride height is about 25.125" all around.

You can go with 235/30 if you have 8" or 8.5" wide wheels. I am actually switching my fronts to that this winter. If you don't mind a lot of stretch then I would go as far as 225/30 on 8" or 8.5" wide. I went with Falken because they stretch well and it's a damn good tire.

You can see the stretch well in this pic

wow those ASA's are beautiful! If u plan on running springs like Neuspeed races which sit u pretty damn low u will most likely need to ride with very thin tires, or else u wont turn.

If you are going low then I definitely reccommend rolling the fenders especially if you are going to be running springs and can't adjust the height. You only need to roll the front, the rear doesn't have anything to roll. I'm running B6 S4 brakes in the front with Adam's Infamous rotors. I strongly reccommend a brake upgrade, the stock brakes look shamefully small behind 20's with open spokes.

    Re: Drop with 20" rims

Yeah, I only rub on huge dips in the freeways and if I have a full car. My tires were just messed from going fast and hitting those huge dips. That caused my fender liner which was sharp to cut my tire and yeah.

I fixed it. Just the inside of the fender was bent backwards so it acted like a knife. I just put it back in place, cut the fender liner, and now I'm good as new!

    Re: Drop with 20" rims

You get wider wheels or run a more aggressive offset, it's just going to bend it back and happen again. Trust me on this one. I bent it back, hit a bigger pothole a few weeks later and slice
