i just replaced my passanger Axle it felt fine and i drove it and eveyrhting.. i dropped my friend off at home put the car in first and it dident move.. i put in reverse dident move... Would this happen if the axle fell out or sumthing?? im sure i bolted everything down tight but im gonna jack it up and look underneath tommrow morning. If the axel did break or get loose would that cause the car not to move at all ??

My front passenger axle kinda miraculously popped off after I replaced it (not a single damaged thread/bolt and all 6 were there). I moved it like 50 yards afterwards, and I think I drove it cause I don't remember pushing it, but I'm not sure.

Check the inner CV where it bolts to the tranny and see if it fell off. You don't need to jack your car up to check, just turn the wheel and look, it'll be obvious. Clean those threads way good with parts cleaner because axle grease tends to get on them when you push them through, and use a little blue locktite. Also make sure they're torqued to spec. Good luck!

yes you are right, the car would not move at all. get underneath it and check it out. those bolts like to work there way out and you really need to tq them down good, or use some blue loctite.

So unless you were driving on ice and your rear wheels were losing traction too, I don't see how a single freely spinning axle would cause the entire car not to move.

you clearly dont know how cars work.

So if someones car was to have the axle bolts back out, and their car drove as if nothing was wrong, would it be safe to assume the center diff is shot? or...
