the avic f700bt (double din pioneer head unit) just went on sale for a short time only for 699.99. retail usually and from pionseer is 899.99 this really is a do it all screen and is our go to screen here at car toys.

the screen has built in bluetooth and ipod voice commands (much liek the sync you can say.. "play artist _____" and it will.. as well as make calls. and has pioneer navigation which is built by TOMTOM also has an ipod cord for on screen ipod controls

all of this built in (dont have to buy any seperate modules) for 699.99.

if you do a search on google for "f700bt" you'll find them from 450-600

thats fine but not a lot of people trust getting offline.. and anyways there is only ONE online retailer which is crutchfield that is an AUTHORIZED dealer so no warranty from manufacturer...and the reason this unit is expensive is partly because it does COME with a 3 year manufacter over the counter swap.. places online wont honor that because they are not authorized dealers.. sure save a few hundred bucks.. but in a year IF it breaks.. your going to be spending another 400-600 bucks.. worth it? i dont think so

And to NGNG's post, I found one of these on eBay for as little as $399 buy-it-now. If they arent an "authorized" dealer, how can their prices be so good, and how can many of these eBay sellers offer a warranty?

to get the D3 installed Car toys charged me $550 but that included the install of the Bluetooth. Sounds like it should be alittle cheaper since it an all in one unit.

lots of people aren't "authorized", which means they'll abide by manfacturer's rules. myself, and millions of other people have no problem buying online.

i buy with my amex, i get an additional 1 year on top of the included warranty, and Amex has my back if anything goes wrong
