So, about 3 weeks ago, I decided it was time to sell my 2006 A3 (already had about 45K miles) and pickup a CPO 2007 A4.
I just happen to find the exact car I wanted on my first visit to Desert Audi.
2007 A4 2.0T FrontTrak CVT
- Bi-Xenon
- Tint
- Auto-Dimming Mirrors (all 3)
- Auto-Folding Mirrors
- Automatic Lights
- Automatic Rain Sensing Wipers
- HomeLink Remote Control
- Bluetooth
- Leather
- Power Driver and Passenger Seats
- Sirius Satellite Radio
I'm sure the list goes on... I just can't say enough about this car. The only options that I know of that it doesn't have are GPS Nav and heated seats. I know my way around and how to use google maps, and have never had a desire for heated seats in Las Vegas. Those two options aren't necessary.
I was very happy with the deal they offered me for both the trade in A3 and the A4. They even threw in a brand new key and a set of all-weather floor mats.
During my test drive, I had noticed that the automatic lights didn't see to work properly. The lights turned on, but the panel lights went dim (so I couldn't see my speed). Obviously, the salesman told me that would definately be fixed for free. Before I even bought the car, they took it into the shop to determine exactly what was wrong, and they said it was just the light sensor in the rearview mirror. Easy fix.
Well, about a week after I took the car home, they called me to let me know the part was in, and I should setup a time to drop the car off and pickup the loaner car. Great, just a quick fix, but they've already got a loaner setup for me.
I setup the appointment for a week later. That brings us to Thursday. I dropped off the car in the morning before work and about 5 minutes later, I was on my way to work in a 2008 A4 S-Line Avant. Yea, that's right, the loaner car was a brand new S-Line A4. How cool is that?
Around 3:00 that afternoon, I get a call from Desert Audi letting me know that there was a small issue. The rain/light sensor wasn't just bad, it was missing. Apparently the previous owner had cracked the windshield, and when they had it replaced, they used a cheap, non-audi version. The repair company also screwed something up in the mirror, so they just decided to remove the rain/light sensor.
Desert Audi told me that they had fixed the problems and replaced the rain/light sensor, but that because a cheap (non-Audi) windshield was used, it wasn't compatible with the rain/light sensor. So, the windshield needed to be replaced. They were going to have to keep my car overnight.
Well, Friday afternoon, I got a call from Desert Audi saying the car was ready. I'm very happy now that the rain sensing wipers work great, the automatic lights work great, and I have a brand new windshield (with the official Audi logo on it, which I'm happy about). All the work was over $700 and it was all done very quick without Desert Audi giving it a second thought.
...and they loaned me an S-Line 2008 A4. Love this dealership and would recommend it to anybody.
