    pulling head/cams-need tools?

Okay, AEB engine, well first time pulling the cams out of the head. Reading up on it I see that it is saying I need a 3036 retainer(to loosen camshaft gear?) a 3366 bracket tensioner for the chain tensioner. Do I need these? Can they be substituted for anything else that I probably already have? If not where can I get them?.. Thanks

i didnt use it when i pulled my cams out, you can compress it with your hand while a buddy slips the cams out of the chain..but your going to need the tool to put them back in.
