Ok so I go to drive my car about an hour ago after cleaning it, to go get gas before the hike up the price and noticed that I couldn't boost past 7psi. I was like, "that's strange I normally boost at 17psi". I come back home to see if there's a boost leak....found nothing. Checked my TBB boot that I had replaced 3 months ago and.....nothing. Both turbo's spool the way they normally do but I can't find a leak. Is this ad DV problem or is there something else that I should be looking at?

Anything would help at this point...going to go drive the car again..grrr

    Re: Need help...

Just got back and the same thing. The car seems to not be as strong as it used to.
I can see the DV's needing to be replaced but for the ECU to be reflashed? Has this happened to other before, where they had to get their ECU reflashed?
Everything sounds fine...I don't want to pay to have my ECU reflashed, rather spend the money towards new DV's or QTEC dump valves...still need more info on this problem

Drive with your windows down and go full throttle, check to see if you hear any honking or hissing.

I did that as well and didn't hear anything but then again I can only hear my dang exhaust and the turbos spooling, no bucking, no hesitation ...nothing. I'm clueless...

Can you tell me how to do this so I can mark DV's off the list of possible things to replace? I'm stuck between boost leak, limp mode (hidden codes), and the DV's.

Remove the DV and push down on the valve while holding your finger over the intake hole (little hole). The valve should stick untill you release pressure.

should be free to re flash from your local APR dealer. I had a similar problem but too much boost. I was boosting at 2 bar and I thought it was an intake leak or boost leak, but it turned out to be a gremlin in the APR program and a flash of the upgraded software took care of the problem.

    Re: Need help...

Do what 2.slowT said. Test the DV's that way. If one or both are messed up, it could be the problem. You should replace them anyway with just some 710n's. They are like $40 a pop.

    Re: Need help...

how is the engine sounds? does it sound like a subary? doeas it shake? it can be anything...do you have a CEL? any codes? you are in the LIMP mode, something is wrong, can be mechanical as well as electrical problem. check if you have any codes. That would help us to point you into the right direction.

    Re: Need help...

Ok - checked for codes and scanned for anything that would cause this problem and had them cleared. Went for a drive and.....ahhhhh 17psi hmmmm it's sooooooo nice, smooth and strong like it was. NO MORE 5-7psi!!!!!
I just want to thank everyone for there knowledgable thoughts and opinons. I was in limp mode and it had to do with the N75 valve so once the codes were cleared, everything was fine and back to normal.

    THANKS FOR EVERYTHING GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!

    Re: Need help...

LIMP mode is a engine power cut-off, your ECU(in car computer) is responsible for it, if something wrong, not enough air or gasoline it will shut off some power and wont give you to go more then 5 psi, enough to get you home and not harm your engine ;)
    thats how i understand it.

Yeah, I figured that too. The RS4/ S4 guys told me something different but I feel what you're saying. One of the S4 guys said that he came across the same problem and I followed what he did to fix it and it worked. He stated that he was in limp mode and everyone on that thread agreed as well. Everyone has there own opinon on what limp mode is but with me it was partially the ECU and the N75 valve.
