Outside Temperature Sensor - Question

Ok, I have a FMIC on my car and my Outside Temp. Sensor is right below, couple inches away. I'm getting odd readings from the OTS? Is the sensor that sensitive? should I reposition the sensor somewhere else?

Example... It's +7deg celsius right now. My car is reading +10.5deg, It's been sitting there all morning.

so you havent turned the engine on at all and its giving you a bad reading? Maybe its not calibrated correctly or maybe the car is giving the correct temp and the one your using as a reference guide is off. I keep a thermometer in the east window of my house so every morning the reading is off on the thermometer in the window b/c the sun is shining on it. Check the temp from a couple of places (i.e the internet, your own thermometer, etc) and then compare. Little stuff like this bother me too so I hope this helps out a bit.

I'm just going to relocate it away from any sources that would offset readings.

for example, as im driving it reads +16deg, and its snowing? WTF
