I needed a spot to put my EGT gauge and I think the price of those vent pods are ridiculous so with a little patience and a dremel I cut my stock vent out to fit a 52mm gauge. Just trace the face of the gauge around the vent and cut. enjoy.

when you put in A pillar gauges, do you remove the airbags first, or do you constantly worry about getting smacked in the face by a boost gauge?

The "Airbag" symbol is just to let you know the car has curtain airbags. They come out over the doors.

If you learn to drive first, you don't usually have to worry about random airbag deployment . . .

But aside from that, A pillar gauges don't interfere with airbag deployment. SPP here in cali actually sells (or use to sell) a double pillar design. They did the R&D to prove (with pictures) that it doesn't affect side curtain airbag operation. Countless others also run them, I've yet to hear a story about anyone getting their eye put out by a flying boost gauge.

what EGT did you get, and how do you connect it ? did you have to install a thermocouple, or do you use an output from the engine ecu ?

yeah, i should probably get on that whole learning to drive thing...

i figured the low pod would be fine, i've just always wondered about the higher gauge pods.

either way, i doubt that would be the first comment after a crash, unless it got embedded (ouch!).
