    DIY Vent Gauge

I needed a spot to put my EGT gauge and I think the price of those vent pods are ridiculous so with a little patience and a dremel I cut my stock vent out to fit a 52mm gauge. Just trace the face of the gauge around the vent and cut. enjoy.

I never understood how people could buy those pods at the price they are. Your diy looks better than those vent pods imo. Way to go.

Edit* The fact that your car is auto makes me want to punch a baby.

Does everyone just turn off the air in the vent? Or can those gauges deal with the heat/ac?

    Re: DIY Vent Gauge

No you don't wind up turning off the heat to your vents. Basically all you really do is lose the ability to close of the air flow with the flap that's behind the vent itself. And that's only cause most of the time you have to remove that flap so the gauges will fit back there without any problems.

And the drivers side vent looks good OP. I have made a few for some friends and Avalon's shop car and everyone has been very pleased with them.

    Good Job tho!
