Friend of mine has a 2.7T A6 with pretty much every bolt on for the stock turbo's, I think he runs around a 13.1 at the track. We ran a few weeks ago, his pump gas vs my 20lbs and he lost horribly. Well he was headed out to the track tonight on 100 octane and the race file on his AWE software so he wanted to do some more highway pulls thinking he was going to crush me. I popped another MAP sensor after Fixxfest a few weeks ago so I cant boost over 23lbs without the car breaking up so I gave it a shot at 23psi. His car is night and day difference between the pump gas and race gas settings thats for sure! He got a quick 1/2 car jump on me because of spool time for my car but after the EBC showed 23psi I had a steady pull ending about 4 or 5 cars out by the middle of 5th gear.

Somethings up with my meth, I think the nozzle might be jacked up. Gotta pull it out tomorrow. Everytime I pull the MAP sensor out its dripping

The AWE stage 3 S4 I went to the track with was only running 12.6 @ 113mph on 93 octane. And the APR stage 3 S4 did the same time and speed but he was on 100 octane. Very weird. The apr car ran a few 13s too and a 12.9 @ 111. AWE ran some 13s as well then 3 12.6s

LOL, yes because it doesn't have anything to do with there being a 2 cylinder and .9 liter difference. The 1.8t and 2.7 have exactly the same displacement per cylinder. Let me know when your S4 2.7 is making 300whp per liter, which means 810whp

1.8t power and runs 135 mph traps.

You can do anything with money, I dont care whats "possible" with a 2.7T or 1.8T, the cars are modded to where they are now, not with K04's, or my car with a 2.0l, or built head, they are just as they sit. Whats possible makes absolutely no difference

Why aren't you running 27 psi like you usually do?

Did you get a MAP Sensor code? Otherwise, make sure the meth is not spraying too much, too early, as that could also cause "breaking up".

I cant with the bad MAP sensor, it breaks up. Ive already fixed the problem with the a new MAP sensor for Fixxfest and then popped the new one shortly after. Somethings going on with the meth or the nozzle, Ive ran meth injection for over 3 years now and never had a problem, now all of a sudden blow two map sensors in a month

I have a bit invsted in my car because I was willing to try new things. Is it street driven right now, no. Could it be if I wanted, yes and I even drag race it in the street class. Lets not confuse not registered and race car, there is a huge difference.

Yes there are 2.7t's making big power, I have driven one that made 650whp and ran 10's. But lets not forget, the A4 is lighter so it doesn't need to make as much power to be just as fast.

My car is far from being a race car. Race cars dont have all glass windows, working electric windows, door panels, full dash and a OEM gas tank. The 034 B5 is a "race car".

My car really isn't any different then it was when it was driven as a dailly driver.

I dont know, could it have anything to do with the fact that I haven't had a JOB in well over a year and been busy raising my son? Sorry but I dont have a money tree in the backyard or rich parents. So where would you like me to pull that $2500 from?

Why does the 2.7 "need" K04's? It already has more displacement and 2 K03's, isn't that enough?

BTW I was beating stock/chipped S4's with a k03 in my A4. So are you going to say that was an unfair race too?

I was till the company I was doing work for stop doing installs. Thats about the time greg asked me to help him with DTH and just after my son was born.

It was when I was driving it as a daily driver which is pretty much exactly like it is right now.

Actually mine is more "street legal" then most people driving modded A4 1.8t's on the streets of CA. My car was 100% smog exempt, so I was never going to be asked by the DMV to get it smogged. In fact the registration was converted to CNG which is 100% smog exempt.


Lets just say this, my car has never been to a "smog" shop in the 8 years I have owned it and of those 8 years it was registered for 6.
