powerhaus is in cary about 300yds from blackforest lol. chris is a good guy, but from what i understand you have to pay in cash for most things and he doesn't keep regular business hours so if you need something from him last minute you'll have to try and get him on his phone and not at the shop. (or if you just need to set up an appt. in general) that was really my biggest problem with them... which is in the end what lead me to apex where i've been EXTREMELY happy. (not to mention everyone knows uni makes more power than revo )

So I am getting a complete brake job this weekend and I called Apex and I think that is where I am going. Looking into Saturday morning. So your saying you recommend their work? They gave me a great price and we very helpful.

I went to Apex once. I mostly see VW's there. It was right across the street from my wife's job. Went to Black Forest also and they have their own building. Very clean and neat place. Absolute had the most Audi's in the shop.

I got my S4 checked out at Black Forest because it was the closest and they gave me the best rate.

i HIGHLY recommend their work. they deal mostly in VW's since that's more common for modification around here (and most places) but they know what they're doing... they did build my motor after all lol. everyone there has always been extremely helpful and accommodating and they didnt even mind me doing some wrenching on my car myself while it was there. (not to mention they let me use their tools and gave me pointers along the way.)

like i said, i do/would recommend them to any and everyone who needs ANY type of VW/audi service or mod work.

if it's any testament to their workmanship my car runs just like it did on day 1 -- but with brand new internals and MUCH MUCH faster. it's held up to multiple trips to the strip, my daily abuse (yes, i drive it like i stole it), and all manner of other random floggings. (teaching girls to drive, letting my friends figure out just how much faster it is for themselves etc. hahaha)

DANIEL^ lol I got the brakes done at Apex today (4-5hr job) and they were some nice guys. They also let me wrench a little which was cool, they have never done a b7 before but it worked out alright in the end. It was $300 OTD for the labor.

abs, pad sensors, dealing with TPMS (no wires.. but still), it may not seem like much - but for me that's more work than im used to so it's automatically annoying hahaha.

went there, transferring to NCSU since i decided i hate business and wanted to get back into engineering. bills are putting a hold on school right now but im hoping i can go back again soon.

i work at just tires (i hate goodyear... bunch of pricks) but the job pays pretty well. we seem to be the only store around that does any real service work though.. two of our guys have ASE's in just about everything you can and stay pretty up to date with all of it.

Ive been doing alot of work in the Cary/Apex area over the past year and a half. It seems to be one of the few places in NC where construction hasnt slowed down. Anyway, there seem to be a ton more Audis out there than there are in the HP/Gboro area. I havent seen very many tastefully modded Audis around here...most of them are ricers.

BTW-If you get the chance you should eat at Tylers Tap Room in Apex. I did all the woodwork and built the bars in there. The last time i talked to Tyler(the owner) he was about to buy a brand new black on black RS4!

I got my custom tune at Absolute (fastest s4 in NC) and my car is there now to get the southbend clutch installed. Evan is a cool guy and is on here a lot. I would reccommend him to anyone with an audi or porsche...did i mention they are an AWE retailer
