Chrome wheels?

What do you guys (or girls) think of chrome wheels on a black B7 (or any B7 for that matter)? Any pics? I might think about getting some, searched for pics but can't find any. Lookin to go for 18"s but just wanted to see what chrome looked like on our cars. (pref. Black) Thanks

Here's my idea of a clean chrome wheel:


No spikes, rivets, stupid-looking flares or curves, no moving parts, just something fresh.



WRONG. Rivets, strange design with layers, too busy, you get the picture. This is what I expect to see on a Chevy Silverado driven by a douchebag with a chew in, wearing sunglasses on an overcast day and has some football team's shirt on.

Funny that almost all Corvettes and Mustang GTs come with chrome wheels, and I consider those sportier in all aspects. I'm not knocking you, just stating that I would as a manufacturer put something lighter on a marketed sports car.

I appreciate chrome but agree that on average they're heavier, and are a bitch to keep clean and tarnish-free.

My sentiments exactly. While I'm no big fan of chrome wheels, they can look good in the right style/stance/theme.

Do what you like and take people's advice (pos or neg) with a grain of salt.
