rear diff seals and tail shaft seals leaking?

so my car was in the stealership monday to get the catalytic converter replaced (under warranty thank god!) and they said they noticed that the rear differential seals and tail shaft seals are leaking. they quoted me $1800 for the fix! i laughed a little inside, and said no only because i have never seen a leak. wanted to get some input from here

is this a hard job? im sure they are ripping me a new one with that quote

on the plus side, i got the cat converter replaced and they also cleared the air plenum area free, he said it was a recall.

also ever since the cat was replaced the low oil light has gone away. im still going to replace the sensor on the next oil change but thought that was weird

sounds like preventative matinece as they call it. put a piece of cardboard under your car for a while and see for youself
