Ive been driving on the slicks for quite some time now, a little over two months.... just waiting (and asking) for this to happen.. Ordered new wheels and tires this past saturday, they should be here tomorrow or friday.... my continentals almost made it

short story... was driving to work, approaching circle drive, desided to pass few cars and kinda go zzooomm through half of the circle.. So without slowing down much i take the circle like a champ and whhhabbbaammmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought i ran over a grenade... didnt think it would make such a boom...

drove on flat for 2 miles, 10 mph luckily noone was next to me on the right cause my car jumped a lane in a second, cause i was still turning left..

So are your ordering new wheels because you bent one, or because they are ugly? Sorry...had to. Your car is either out of alignment or you drive the sh!t out of it...look at the tire wear.

I did that about 3 years ago. Wore my stock Dunlops down to the metal bead and the scrubbing making a turn in 2nd gear at a traffic light blew a hole in the tire. Scary Shit. I'll never do that again. I now replace my tires as soon as I sense serious hydroplaining in the rain.

Had a 18 wheeler blow a tire on the highway while i was right next to it with the window down, happened to have been on a adventure with my M3 all the way down in Miami and my first though was "fu*k the Cubans are shooting at me!"

No -- very, *very* stupid. What if your blowout had caused you to lose control of the car and hit something, or worse yet, someone else? Driving on tires that worn is not only a personal safety issue, but a public safety one as well.

Be glad you came out of this unscathed, and don't be a dumbass next time.
