    K03 S4s make more power than K04 S4s right?

lol maybe in terms of an A4 when they upgrade to a K04 there isn't THAT much of a power increase but on S4's I think we've seen and understand the differences the two turbos provide.

well yes. but according to this every stg 3 car is over spinning the turbos just like they did k03's. i just think that it is interesting because everyone thinks you go k04 and 20 pound wont overspin them but apperently not. just wondering what everyone thinks or have something to prove this info as unreliable

click this link... it brings you to a post on AudiWorld where it has been determined by the compressor map of a K04-25/26 the peak efficiency range is 24PSI combined for Stage 3 cars... after that its just a hair dryer .

well for a k04 on a 1.8t I4 that has to work a lot harder than than a k04 on a 1.35 I3 basically. so it makes sense that the k04's can go so much farther on the s4 just simply looking at it

yeah true... for people with A4's I understand that articles uselessness of the "upgrade" to a K04

Re: very interesting, what do you think about this?

theres another one i saw that said that the ko4 stated in that was a ko3/k04. not a full ko3. might even be the "k03s" the gti guys talk about. but they were talking about a vnt37 i think which is a tdi turbo, newer version. on a 1.8 its good for like 28 psi and its an early version of variable vane so its got a "cvt" style a/r ratio. sounds to me like that could be the next ko4 craze if it would work easily. some adapter plates and custom oil lines/coolant lines would be the only issue. bright side is its 950 brand new from the manufacturer!
