    dude id buy that, not a fan of red but hey thats pretty good mileage, the 2.8 will be fast enough unless your a speed feind, the rims are nice enough to leave on there, and its a awd 5speed with black leather and looks sport susp to me and prob winter package, thats pretty good id say.

    Millage, Price, concision looks/sounds good to me.
    Except is 2.8, which is more relivable, but you won't have the turbo.:(
    if you want to mod it, this car is not for you. Get the 1.8.
    Keep looking if you dont find a 1.8 for a fair price, get this one, it looks great for a first audi. You'll love it (so i love mine). ;)

    great car... i have a 98.5 2.8, same color, cold weather and sport manual. However as much as i love my baby, get a 1.8... i hate the fact that pretty much all of the worthless upgrades discussed in this forum dont apply to me. Get a 1.8T. 5 Gs does sound good for the mileage tho. Was the timing belt and 80/90k maintenance done?

    B6 sports always look nice on B5's. Best thing you can do is search it up on here. We will all tell you to buy an Audi. Just be sure of where you want to go with it. Many a 2.8 owner wish they had bought a 1.8t.

    i honestly dont, i love how smooth my 2.8 is and how nice it sounds with just a muffler. And stock power is nice on the 30v. Also, iv driven newer b6 turbo's and ill tell you right now my 97 12v is still wayyyy smoother. stock that is.

    cheaper on insurance, you wont want to keep wasting money on mods....


    1.8t isnt always the way to go.

    1.8t is no different in insurance compared to the 2.8 if anything 2.8 is more because its a v-6 and has more hp stock

    wrong, the 1.8t is seen as more modable. I quoted 1.8s and 2.8's b4 getting my 1.8 and the 2.8 would have been several hundred a year cheaper on insurance.

    that's funny, after having driven a 30v and my chipped/turboback/fmic 1.8t back-to-back I think i'd buy a 30v if given the oppurtunity. maybe I'm alone in thinking that

    can't beat the mileage on my 1.8t though, I've recorded several 35+mpg trips, usually combined average of 29-32 though. compared to the 30v the 1.8t is a dog at anything less than full throttle, in my opinion

    Audizine members seem to think the 1.8t is the Evo to the 2.8's lancer.
    Even though both of them are slow without major money being spent.

    The thing that kills me is all the 23LBS OF BOOST ON A k03! L33Tsauc! my BOV IS LOUD type people, who still think their cars are "fast" even though they probably barely break 14s.

    I have owned a 02 1.8t and an 00 s4.
    Right now im currently in a 99.5 30v and wouldn't even think about going 1.8t.
    I'd skip right over it and go to the 2.7t for power.
    My 30v is plenty enough power for what I need.
    With an exhaust they are pure sex
