    REVO Software chip???

Anybody got the REVO chip on their 2.7t 6speed A6???? I am getting it done this weekend along with some other maintenance work but was wondering if the difference is that big...I'm hoping it's worth the money and assume it will be, just wanted to hear what current REVO users think.

I know that the stock DVs give out after doing a chip so that might be your problem..

    Re: REVO Software chip???

I did the test program. Its nice and smooth but not as aggressive as apr or giac. Easier on turbos from what i hear. I ran a 14.5 at 95 with it. cut off almost half second and added 3 mph to my stock trap in the quarter.

allroad was 15.1 i think. but again, some people dont realize to get the full effect of a chip, most the time it requires a aftermarket exhaust. I think all the apr, giac, and revo tests say, to get full results, get exhaust.
I know on my allroad, i prob would have ran alot higher trap if i didnt have the 600 pound restrictive exhaust.

Exhaust will be next mod. Probably have to use it as a christmas present but I'm just gonna get my local flowmaster shop to give me a custom (2.5????) TB with some mufflers, but don't really don't want anymore noise....cause I'm not 18 and driving a honda crx

    Re: REVO Software chip???

I'm a Revoed 2.7T Allroad user with Tip and it is awesome!! I have been using Revo since my first B6 1.8T and perhaps, you should ask Revo for a special sauce program as Revo Mitchell (He is no longer in Revo) helped me to write a customs program when he was travelling to my country for a new Revo dealership set up. I asked Mitch to write a program to put the power curve and fuel map more on the Torque rather than high end HP. He did it and I believe he should have this program in Revo's progamming stock. Thus, you folks should ask for it and they can probably swap to your ECU by a very simple mapping work to get done!!

Change your DV, Exhaust and probably DP and Cat + Darintake will make a big difference. I have also changed the 5 bar fpr, IPP Intercooler + manual boost controller...... The car is running like a beast which I'm reluctant to trade for a 4.2 C6 A6 as the car has no way to compare my AR in in tems of performance but except a new look.

One thing need to remind you is the Revo can help accelerate the life cycle of your current air hoses, vaccum hoses as well as 02 sensors for older cars without proper maintenance. Do reserve the money for those stuffs to be changed as I just have all of those done after Revoed due to the program is asking so much and then, I have vaccum leak and intercooler hoses crack 5 mins after Revoed. Also, Revo is having an adaption feature same as the Audi ECU designed whereby, the car will be better and more stable after 5-7 days of usage.

    Hope it helps....
    Allroad Lover........
