audi newb, intro/pics and some questions

New audi member here but not new to cars. I have had around 20 dsm's (eclipses/talons) and a few of them made some serious horsepower (trapping 130 mph on 24 lbs of boost on 93 octane). Have always done all my own work, tuning, installs etc. never brought my car to anyone for anything besides paint and inspections. but anyways, i picked up a chipped 2002 1.8t a4 5 speed (sport/cold package) for a new DD and had a few questions about the car.

the rear left seat warmer does not seem to be operating at all. Should i just put the seat up and check for loose/broken wires. I took a glance at the switches and noticed nothing out of the ordinary. Are the switches known to good bad at all?

Left rear brake light stays on, but when i switch to my high beams it will go back to just the normal tail light. ??? Could it be wiring or the wrong bulb lighting up the wrong filaments? Looking for any types of ideas.

maybe s4 front bumper
possible paint oem b6 5 spokes black (winter rims w/ blizzaks :) )

the rear brake light is ur rear fog light when u turn ur switch to headlights on u pull once for front fogs and u pull twice for the left rear fog pull only once.

thanks... yeah i have been modding cars for around 5-6 years. Holding back from doing a custom fabbed top mounted 35r (turbo i ran on my eclipse) on the audi. going to leave the car mostly stock, that is until something breaks on it. then is time to get down to business :)

yes well kinda... its a g4cs block. 6 bolt 2.4 liter block out of a hyundai sonota. Built it up with forged externals etc. and matched with the gt35r made for one sick street set up.

That's interesting. A buddy of mine has the same setup on his 1g except he used an sc61 turbo. He made 603 awhp/535awtq unfortunately that was short lived because his twin disc clutch took a dump shortly after that.

actually the previous owner already purchased so idk where he got them

EDIT: wow didnt realize those rims cost over 1k new. :) puts an even better deal on what i got the car for.

Nice new buy! I have the same color and everything, but take my word of advice - Dont do black rims. Black on black is really hard to do with this car. Just rims won't cut it like it does for some other cars. Keep the rims white/silver - it looks cleaner/nicer and you'll get alot less attention from the cops. Good luck though, sounds like its gonna turn out nice. The painted lowers will really help the looks alot. I've had mine over a year and its still bugging me lol, if I didnt just drop $1300 on a new clutch/flywheel then they'd be painted, but I'll be DIYing them next anyway. Look up some DIY painted lower jobs alot come out really good if you do it right which isnt hard. Here's a good one:http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=229565 and you can buy matching touch up paint in a spray can online. It'll just save you alot of money, but if you have the money then go right ahead and have a shop do it. I'm just giving some tips.... anyway, good luck.

I am doing a black on black setup on mine now. I have tinted tails and black wheels on the way and I am getting my tint done in a few weeks. I'll definitely post up some pics when it's done.

Nice car man, It's a good car to get you into the VAG scene!! I've got the black on black on black on black..etc going on right now and i'm happy with it, I plan on painting my lowers, also, thanks for the link A4 KIDD

so yeah any ideas on the rear seat? Prolly just the heating element since 2 side works and the other doesnt?
