just use same stuff for rear diff. You can add a little redline shock to the MT90 if you'd like, or just use the MT90 or MTL. germanautoparts.com for 2 in 1 trans tool. I think I used 5 quarts total (trans, diff)

    Get Motul Gear 300!

This way the same oil goes in gearbox and rear diff!

    Keeps life simple!

I also bought Gear 300, though I have not yet put in in. 5 quarts total, three for the trans, two for the rear diff. I use it in my supermoto trans as well with superb results (and that's a race motor).

Yes MT90 is fine for both like I said. I personally use Motul 300. It's a tad easier on shifting smoothness...

you use the gear 300 all around? and the others guy too.

anyone here compare this to amsoil in the tranny/reardiff.

I have friends who have used the amsoil products and was going to go that route. I have not heard anything one way or the other on the gear 300 in audis. I know the subbie guys LOVE it!!

I am going to change mine soon. I can use either one, just wanted to see if one was better than the other one.
