this just showed up on the dash

I am driving back to Lincoln right now down the interstate, and this just came on and continues to come on. What does it mean? I haven't adjusted or modified anything except the radio because justin timberlake came on. Is the car mad at me for that?

its showing you that its head wants to explode because you put that music on

really though, looks like brake pad sensor. might need new pads somewhere. is there any other lights on liek ABS or your traction control symbol?

nothing else except the windshield washer squirters (the raccoon i hit last week did that) but this just came on about 10-20 minutes ago. i replaced the front and rear pads about 2 weeks ago. they are brand new. i will double check they are all still there. Nothing feels different or awkward. Brakes feel fine.

A lot of times the brake pad sensors gets triggered without any need... ride around for a bit, as long as your pads aren't squealing, and I bet it goes off.

I really wouldn't worry about it. That sensor does come on randomly. It showed up on my s4 in the middle of nowhere. It went off about 50 miles later and never came back on. If it doesn't go off, I'd bring it back to where you had the pads installed, and tell them to look at the sensor.

Check that the clips are secure, or one of the wires did not rip out of the conector or off the pads. I changed mine on my S4 last year and did not rout the wires correctly, and the were resting on the caliper...got super hot and melted the wire and BINGO light came on. I just spliced some new wire, and good to go.

    Good Luck

Mine came on because of the brake pads were about 40%. Replaced them and the light came off.

It is crazy weather, you wake up at 5am for work its 20 out, and by 1:30 its 75. When i purchased the car, it did not have an owners manual. Is there a tech guide or thread on here with what the symbols mean?
