are the number of threads remaining on each side of coils supposed to be the same? after letting my coils settle, my tech readjusted the height and did the alignment. when i got the car back, my passenger side was just a tad bit higher, about 1/8 inch than drviers side so yesterday i adjusted the right side down so now it's even with the other side. while doing this, i noticed that the amount of threads left on on side was different than the other side.... in the front about an inch worth of thread, the rear was only 2 threads difference. is this normal? i thought you're supposed to match this up?
also, when i told my tech that i need another alignment since it's now pulling a tad to the right.. he mentioned that he had to align the car 3 times when he was making his final adjustments because he would get the ride height perfect, then after alignment, ride height would change in different amounts at different wheels. so when he goes to align the car again, the ride height might change. what the fuck is this guy talking about? i've had coilovers in my past 3 cars and never had this issue.
lastly... the front of my startup gt's has this little allen nut that you screw in to secure the spindle. there's no two spindles like my stassis where the bottom smaller one locks into the top one to lock it in place. well that little allen nut just spins and spins... does't lock in place. is it ok to leave it like this? i'm assuming the pressure of the springs will keep it from moving but just wanna make sure.
