got backed into.....

so. this morning I come out of my girlfriends apartment in malden, ma, get into my car that was parallel parked on washington st. and start to go to school. I get to a gas station down the street and stop to get gas, and leave my car running to cool the turbos. as I get out of my car, I notice a strange but slight clicking coming from the from of my car, I look, and BAM, like a punch in the face, My hood is pushed in, my RS4 grill (which are damn expensive now) is cracked and partly popped out, there are 2-3 large scuffs on the top of my front bumper, and my aux fan (between the bumper and ac condenser/ radiator) is cracked to shit. I could barely get my hood open to check it out. at this point I am fucking rip shit, I purposely park so no one can hit my rear bumper, and give a good 6-10 feet out front. I get in my car and turn my heat off (to stop the clicking) and race back to my girlfriends apartment, and look to see if the White jeep I parked behind last night is still there. No dice. now there is a green car in its place, that is definatly not tall enough to cause the damage.

I know which car did this. And Im pretty sure of where they live, as I have seen this particular car many times. I even remarked to my girlfriend about how much room I left for the person in front to get out, then said (jokingly) that they will probably hit me anyway.

I am fucking pissed and I will hunt this person down and get hopefully get compensation.

I will post pics of the damage tonight/tomorrow as I am at school right now.

that sucks though man i know what you mean some people just dont give a shit about anything and you wonder why they live to begin with. i drive 60 miles a day to and from school its amazing the way some ppl drive.

I just got doordinged @ school for the first time last week. Though not as bad as yours, it hurt to wake up the next morning and see a giant streak of scratch and a big ding in my passenger side door with red paint over it.

I definitely hear your pain there. there's a faily decent sized scratch on the rear passenger side of the bumper that someone backed into, and as well some punk-ass kid that keyed the right side of my car all the way up to the fender.

Sometimes when i park next to a vehicle that is all smashed up and parked crooked or belongs to a young novice drive i write down the license plate number incase i come back and my car has extra paint or dents, i know who to contact..

Sorry to hear about your s4 though. thats what sucks about driving a car that you love..

yeah i hate how people don't give a shit and just swing there doors open or let shopping carts roll around in the parking lots. i have a nice sized dent in my front left panel from some prick that doesn't give two shits about his/her own possessions let alone mine. my S4 has only lived in NJ since late April and has two nice dings......that i know of.

Not ALL people suck....just most of them...lol......I got backed into at school two years ago....and unbeLIEVABLY, the woman that did it left me a note with ur phone number and information, cuz I wasn't around to see or hear it....I was absolutely shocked that someone would be so considerate (especially since she did over $3k in damage).....but after that, I stopped bring my car to crowded places like school where it could get fucked up......Sucks to hear that ur car got a lil F'ed up man.....I've gotta take a trip back out to Merrimack to check this thing out some time

When I was in high school I watched a kid side swipe a car in the parking lot. I LOL'ed a LOT, after he drove off. Then I told the kid if he didn't leave a not on the windshield I'd kick his ass. I still laugh thinking about it.

I take a picture of the car and license plate of every car I park behind or in front of on campus with my phone. No way I am risking their lack of driving ability to damage my car. I have watched many cars around school bump the cars in front and behind them to make sure they are close to the other cars I guess. Some people just need to learn how to drive

I had a time where I parked in a kroger parking lot and made sure to move all of the carts from around me and i had a good 3 space radius around me. When i came back out there was a shopping cart right in my fender and left a huge dent. I personally say someone had to have done that on purpose because i was way out of the way of everyone.

Im always afraid of that ^^^ I park miles away from the store, just to come out and find some shitbox parked next to me, out of spite. most of the time, if it isnt that busy, ill park way out accross two spots, but even then I'm worried about getting keyed by someone just for parking crooked. and that takes effort, they have to spot my car, walk way out to where it is, then key it and walk back, and im still worried because I've heard of it happening.

There will always be some a$$ hole out there that is just mad at life. I used to know a guy that just liked to mess with people. If he saw a car that was double parked even if it was in the farthest corner of the parking lot with no one else around, he would literally park inches away from it so the drivers door couldn't be opened. He would then take a picture of their car so he could sue them if they did anything to his piece of crap car.
I Live in a college town and finally realized it's impossible to keep a car dent free, No matter how far you go out of your way to keep it nice there will always be some jerk that will go even further out of his way to mess it up.
