where can i get those nice s4 mirrors for my b6..i dont want the chrome ones, i want the s4 type silver ones...where can i get them !!!!

Check the classifieds here on AZ religiously and you will eventually see them pop up. I got lucky and scored a set for $100 shipped and they are authentic. Don't mess with the ones on ebay, they are painted silver and look like garbage in person.

The right is more expensive and I believe it's because when you put the car in reverse the right side mirror automatically moves down so if your parallel parking you can see the curb.

ive been looking..and not found anything around that price...only the mirror caps that are put on with adhesive...haha im not even gonna bother trying with that, plus theyre $100+

bro these aren't mirrors they are covers they have nothing to do with the mechanisms involved. That price is bogus. and how come mine wont tilt down in reverse?

I'm not talking about the junk you see on ebay now. I did a search and I couldn't find any now either. Yes, they are covers but they are the same polished look of an S4 and you just need to unscrew your stock cover and put this one on. You can't tell a difference and they are cheaper. Yours probably don't tilt down because it was an option on A4s.

Well that would be why you don't have the right mirror that folds to the curb.

That was my guess on why the right side mirror was more expensive. I believe it was an option on A4s but if you can VAG it than it would have been a waste of money.

The 3.0 mirrors are powered, heated, photochromatic and can tilt.

Only way to get the function is to swap the 3.0 mirrors onto your car.

Don't need to PM... it costs $500 to overlay a set of OEM mirror covers.

Yes... that's a lot of money.

But it takes a lot of time to overlay a mirror cover using only ONE piece of CF fabric and keeping perfect lines on the weave.

I am sure some of you think it is nuts to charge that much for a set of covers and I'm not going to argue with you.

Our clients that want the perfect look will pay for it.

The people that just want a CF look will find something else that is less expensive.

Does Audi sell the shell only or do you have to buy the entire mirror? That could explain the left/right difference. Just a guess.

Shells are just shells.

The tilt mirror is a sealed unit and is sold as a complete package.

If you look carefully at the 3.0 mirrors there is a seal between the mirror itself and the shell.

actually swapping the mirror assembly is half the battle, you also need to have the memory seats option so that it knows to which position the glass needs to be returned to... i'm half-way there, i need the mirror assemblies...
