ECU X Problems after XP SP update

Well Ecu X always being a pain to get working, I recently updated my windows xp a while back and after the update Ecu X will not connect Via Vag-Com Serial cable anymore. Vag com still works fine and lemmiwinks works. I just cant log anything on my Ecu X anymore. Even if I reboot and just use that program alone. I know the cable doesnt like to be switched around. Anyone have any ideas or tips?

Are there any COM settings in ECU X? (Never used it before) Make sure you are using the right one.

Yes, you can select cable or usb and the baud rate on cable. i havent changed any settings.

what was the update?

why dont you uninstall and reinstall the software, with a freshly restarted system, with no other programs running, with antivirus and firewall turned off ....

Are you guys getting ECUx through APR? I'm in search of it.

yes, APR sells it just call them. its 175 i believe i havent checked lately.



The update was a Service Pack Update, I dont know if I can uninstalled a Service Pack.



And no im not back in NC, ive moved to bama. I was gonna come visit, whats going on in charlotte now?
