Parallels only works on an intel mac (time to switch anyway!)

Running the 64 bit version of WinXP Pro here (when I have to, still hate windows..) and VAG-Com seems to work fine.

Parallels and VMWare only work on on Intel Macs... but you can probably find a copy of MS Virtual PC around somewhere, if you want to go that route.

I've seen this info over and over again, but still don't get what to do and how to do it.

I still want to get rid of the seatbelt chime, possibly vag the headlights so the indicators aren't lit with the headlights and enable the right mirror tilt (if possible on '08 2.0T models).

You have to have VAG-COM (can get a $20 cable off ebay, and the free download). When you have it, you plug it in, you click on the button labeled "Central Electrical" (for the headlight change), it shows you your current coding (e.g., mine was 21023), and you enter a new code and set it.
