    is it bad to drive around with a torn diverter valve??

    my valve jus tore last night and it will take 2-3 days for a replacement to ship in, will driving around for these days mess up my engine??!! I need responses thanks!!

    did you tear the DV? or the diaphram? ive never heard of anyone tearing the actual DV...

    i would drive carefull, and try not to boost! my diaphram tore the day i bought my car (go figure) anywho, the dealer replaced it within minutes of me coming back to the dealership (i guess i lucked out they had it in stock)

    not really but you dont want to stay in boost too often so try to stay out of anything above 2600-2700 rpm..

    it sounds like a blow off valve...i can control the sound. ive been driving with it for a few weeks i think. but i have no clue how i tore it or if i tore it

    safe to drive, you will just not have as much boost. It will not damage anything

    I thought torn DV meant you couldn't build up pressure?

    I drove around with mine torn for a like 2 weeks, its not bad for the car, you will just have no boost.
