So my key just stopped working...

One minute it works fine and then I go back out to my car and it wont auto unlock, lock or anything. The trunk button nor panic button works either.

What the fuck.. it didn't get wet, dropped or anything.

What should I do? Arn't these keys close to $300?

It's practically brand new, but I guess that could be a reason. The red dot flashes everytime I hit a button though.

Go start your car with the darned thing.

Try to unlock/lock/open the trunk with your key.

If it still doesn't work, replace the battery.

After replacing the battery, start the car again.

Try to lock/unlock/open trunk.

End.

mine does the same thing. Sometimes it will work then the next time it won't and its not the battery.

my spare key has the same problem.

I replaced the battery and re-synced it. It worked right there and then.
I put the key away and didn't use it till now (30 days later).
The remote wasn't working and the red light doesn't flash when I hit the buttons

I got in using the key and drove the car. When I got to my destination and got out of the car the remote is working again. The red light flashes on the spare remote and I was able to lock the door using that.

Changed the battery and tried those steps.. no luck.

did you take off the car battery? maybe you have to reset the key to the car because you took off your car battery and you have to reset it.

Nope. One hour it worked, the next it didn't.

This usually works.....just play with the remote while the key is in the ignition and the car is on.
