    KO3 for a KO3s

Ok so I am starting to hear a high drill noise coming from my turbo so before i blow it up i went and got a KO3s from a friend of mine is it difficult to swap these out and replace it or is it just a plug and play, will i have to tune it or flash the cpu? I also have to install a new cat is there a DIY on how to install a new KO3s or something to help me out? Should i get someone to do this for me or is it soooo easy that i should just do it myself?
    Thanks

it will be super easy, just take the airbox out and disconnect everything, swap and you're done. the worst part will probably be the mess from the oil and coolant lines.

    Re: KO3 for a KO3s

It probably will take you 5-7 hours to do it, including the cat. It took me 9 hours my first time including changing the manifold, but not the cat since I already had a test pipe. Also don't forget to buy all new crush washers and gaskets, oil and coolant, and a new oil filter since you might as well change your oil at the same time.

OH DARN! do you have part numbers for the gaskets? I don't want to seem like a complete idiot but I normally do everything myself on my car but with something like a turbo i want it done right not all cheapo like i do it may be i should take it someplace how much do you think that would cost me?

Huh? I did it with my dad's shitty tools in <3.5hrs and on my back. Including running to the store to get a 6mm allen socket.

If you have all the correct tools up front, you should be able to do it in <3hrs, provided you have some mechanical knowledge and your exhaust has ever been off since the factory put it on.

ECS tuning has a "K0x turbo install kit" with all the gaskets you'll need.
