Wierd noise from under the hood..

so a while ago I installed a diverter valve, my old one went bad, new one is called BFF or something, and ever since I've had problems.... when I accelerate and shift - it makes very annoying woosh sound... is it bad? defective?.... what the FAK!!

Its safe to say that is not a diverter valve, that is a blow off valve.
its not bad or defective but yes, it is annoying..
The only difference between the two is that sound youre hearing is the air being released instead of recirculated.
