stock diverter valve finally went out!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I noticed that Audi now makes a newer version of their stock C valve, calling it the G valve. Has anyone replaced their diverter valve with this new and improved one? or do you recommend going with a forge or evo ms diverter?

I had my stock DV and the red rubber membrane in it tore at about 10K miles. (ive had my car chipped since around 2K) I purchased the forge valve and love it. Its a really high quality part and it sounds pretty sweet, and also you wont need to worry about rubber parts ripping or tearing in the future. I think its worth every penny.... Good luck!

when your diverter valve tore was it a constant woosh sound? or can you control the sound when you double push on the gas pedal

i can more less control the sound, when I step on the gas at around 3k rpm is it noticeable. Its obviously torn because I notice a power loss.

Both our G valves, and the AWE valves are great options on the 2.0T. The AWE reacts quicker than the slow piston of the Forge, and of course it's cheaper!

Re: stock diverter valve finally went out!!

The Forge valve has a documented delay between vacuum and actually actuating. However, all vacuum-operated valves are going to have this delay. Can't beat the stock electronic valves for fast actuation!

whitevdub, the noise from double-pressing the gas pedal is compression surge; when you press on the gas again, it closes the valve thinking you're going to stay on the gas and leave the throttle open. However, if you don't, it still doesn't re-open and instead the pressure goes back to the turbo. I recommend not doing that anymore, lol.

the new audi stock DV is the way to go, no reason to spend 300$ on the forge
