    S4 Rear Bumper

I am looking for some opinions. Should the gray piece over the exhaust on the S4 rear bumper be painted to match a black car or should I leave it gray?

    Re: S4 Rear Bumper

Black, Grey looks cheap, If you want to dress things up a little more there is a Carbon fiber one for B7s on E-bay for about $200. You should go that route and report back about the quality. I just blacked out my trim, the grill is being replaced with a Black RS grill in a couple weeks, next up is that rear valance your talking about. If that carbon piece is decent thats probably the way I'll go. (To be honest I think the Carbon fiber will look better with the Imola than your Black)

My B6 S4 is silver and I had it painted to match. I think it looks great, even better on a black car! Good luck.

    Re: S4 Rear Bumper

I think differently than everyone else here. I think black trim looks cheap. It makes it look like unpainted molding you find on lower trim levels of various cars. In your case, black would look ok because the car is also black. That's just my opinion, though. 99% of the members here like the black-out theme.

satin black would look awesome, although if a CF overlay were possible i think that would look really good, reminiscent of AMG black series

    Re: S4 Rear Bumper

The ebay CF valence has fitment issues. There was another company on here (tCarbon or something like that) that made them as well and there were major fitment issues. A lot of people were unhappy and had to spend much more money to have a body shop install it for them. Winston above overlays stock valences with CF so there is no fitment problems because it's an OEM piece. There were a few threads about this with pics months ago. I'm sure you can find them with a quick search.

    Re: S4 Rear Bumper

To overlay a B7 insert, dual S-Line exhaust or quad S4 exhaust, is $400

It is not cheap but you get a perfect look and a factory fit. I have had tCarbon owners have us make them a new unit and then sell theirs.

If you want to see what we can do...

So, it is $400 shipped to me? No core charge fee or anything like that and then I can sell my old one? How long would this take. Get a hold of me, I hate grey plastic on my car.

$400 is the cost to overlay the piece.

The options for the core is:

    - You can send us your piece for conversion

    - We can buy a core and charge the cost of that to you as part of your final price

    - We can charge you a core exchange fee and you send us your old piece back.

So, I decided to take the cheap route and buy the one off Ebay. OEM one came off easy enough, but I can't get this other one on. It looks like it should fit, it is much firmer not as flexible, which is causing some of the problems. Has any one gotten this product on. I would apprecitate some help.

I warned you. Check the threads I posted above. You should be able to get it on, but you will have to modify the CF piece. It will take a lot of work. Do a search for "tCarbon valence" and you should find all the threads that pertain to installing it.

Can't blame me for trying to save $400. With the live search 25% off, I got this for $150. If it doesn't work, I guess I will be out some $$, but if it does, I will be all set.
