can I flush my heater core with CLR?

Hey Guys,

I have a clogged heater core and was wondering if I can flush it with CLR to get rid of the deposits instead of replacing it for a grand...any thoughts?

I would think that it would be very harmful to the plastic end tanks. Probably not a good idea.

if you can't fix it your going to need a new one anyway..... why not try?
