Re: My A4 at the track

a lot of fun isn't it?

Looks good though. It's sad that you guys couldn't space out more, that way you could push it a bit more.

There's plenty of track to use up at that 180* left then carries a long right to the top of the hill. Other than that you guys had some decent lines.

I race bikes and do track days here and there with the car so the track is nothing new to me, just the 2nd time the A4's been to the track and the first time on a tight one. It did much better then I thought it would, and most other drivers sucked a lot more then I thought they would. Stupid no passing on a tight track I never knew just how big of a diffrence drivers make for cars being they are a lil more idiot proof then bikes, boy was I wrong 1 of the other runs a Z06 was holding up the Integra Ls in front of me and myself. Spun himself out on the left going onto the straight and was basically using the gas pedal as an on/off switch for all 505hp, mostly off though until the straight. Everyone was braking 100 yards+ too early, hitting the brakes for that kink on the straight that coulda been taken flat out(and where I was catching up 2 all the faster cars who left me in their dust on the straight)I got my another vid I gotta get up with my buddies near 12flat evo in front of me taking off on the straights. These cars we drive are slow.

Be nice, that was you at one point in your life, but true at the same time.

There's just as much of a difference driving >10lb/HP cars as there is <5lb/HP bikes, if not more. The less power a vehicle makes, the more the driver has to push it to make the same times. Any form of racing can show that.

I saw how early they were braking, I was curious if it was an actual track day or a sunday cruise. Not that my car is fast by any means, but I know it's limits.

Even though it was follow the leader, it looks like you had fun. Looks like the pace picked up a little bit on the second lap. Our cars are just too heavy and underpowered for tracks with long straights. Time to get some better tires and as always more power.
