    Help! Another rs4 RSB problem.

Hey guys whats up, so I was trying to install my RS4 rear sway the other week and ran into some issues. I tried using the stock brackets like the DYI said to do, but since it is such a tight squeeze and makes it harder to line up, I stripped the upper and lower holes on the sway bar tab on the car. My friend is telling me they look beyond fixing with just a tap, so what would be the next best thing? Is a Heli coil strong enough to use in this application? Try and knock off those tac welded nuts and buy new ones and just don't tac them on? any help would be great thanks! Danny

i would first try to tap them out, it is pretty simple, if that does not work i would use longer bolts and use a second nut, instead of taking off the tack weld. if you try to remove the nut you could weaken the area around the mounting point.

i would drill out the threads and use a high quality stainless or aluminized bolt and nut at least a grade 8.8 metric.
