I had mine done as recall work..dont know if they are still doing it. BTW my a4 had 130k when they did the recall.

I don't think there is a recall on the whole control arms assembly- as far as I know there is only a recall on the Tie Rod Ends.

I've been on hiatus for a while but now I need control arm bits ;)

Question is, will this kit wear better (last longer) than O.E.M ? My B5 only has 60,000 miles on it and I can notice my control arms rattling around. Tell me there is a replacement kit out there (like this one ?) that will last longer.

There is no promise of it lasting longer but this is a great kit

How do these compare to the Febi kits? Any chance on a GB for the Febi kits?

The Febi/Bilstein, TRW, and Meyle arms are oem and will be perfect stock replacements. That said, these do have things going for them. They don't have the cheap chrome nuts, shoddy knockoff castings, or scary cheap prices that the bad arms have. Of course, that is the same pic as in the Meyle kit for A6 which should be a little different with provisions for the ride height sensors on the front lower arms. So, who knows?

Well, I live in Europe and don't have a clue what Eurospec is. Europe is not a synonym for UBER quality or something.

I plan on keeping my car for a very long time (engine overhaul when the current one calls it quits, and I am at 122k), so I would want the best for my vehicle. I think I am going to hold out till I find the best deal on a Febi kit.

I love how every thread these guys put up eventually questions turn to the brand and everyone says to buy FEBI.

$449 is way to much for a no name kit. If I can't google a company then it's a no name.

Please be aware that both Meyle and are not top notch. Especially Meyle has poor quality control arms. Febi CAN be ok if they are manufactured in Italy or Germany, but this is hard to tell.

OEM is Lemförder and TRW IIRC.
