Have you used your key to crank your car since you changed the battery?

Check in your user manual, there is a simple way to fix it, I remember having to do it after my stereo was installed and the battery was DC'd for a while. If you don't have your manual, I will check mine and post how to fix it (would do it now, but don't have the manual close).

Yea, I think you just have to use your key in the ignition. Crank the car, etc. and it'll reprogram your key fob to work. You have to do this when you replace the key fob battery too.

Just happened to me....All you have to do is insert the key in the trunk key hole and turn it, Presto!

    1.) Put Key in ignition
    2.) Turn to Run
3.) Hold down the unlock button for at least 5 seconds (while key is in ignition tunred to run)
4.) Take Key out and test locks.

This is the process for syncing the key to the car.
Papachristou: i just said "yeah well you are still driving a neon, and she still wants to ride in my car"

I'm having the same problem now and none of these techniques works.

I didn't change any batteries and the fobs are still transmitting (I checked this with a spectrum analyzer).

Is it possible that the receiver side is kaput?

I know this works because i did this many times to my car, i disconnected my battery several times changing my audio stuff... you also have to reset your automatic windows.

There's a longer process in the Owners Manual. The above steps are only part of it. You have to choose which memory location to store to.
