Engagement Point REALLY HIGH after Southbend StageIII

Its very annoying to drive with. I have to keep my clutch pretty much OUT, only like an inch of engagement towards the top. It feels weak, however it never slips. the pedal is just really easy to push, but only have to push very little before clutch is engaged.. When my shop was installing it, the OEM pressure plate did not fit, therefore southbend had to send a modified/adjusted pressure plate.. now I dont know how a clutch works, or if that has anything to do with it, but does it? or maybe the system needs bled better?

You should start with bleeding the system first @ 30psi. I had a soft pedal once after a clutch job and a rebled fixed the issue.

I have a southbend stg III clutch and do not have this problem. It engages at about the same location in the pedal as the stock one, it does grab a bit more, but nothing ridiculous..

Take it back to the shop... It should engage at the normal location.

If I am correct the southbend makes you send in your PP? correct? if this is the case if could be poorly modified. This happened to a few people back in the day with Southbend.

Dose the petal come back to the top ok? this would point you in the direction of the system needing to be bleed again
