Very simple, just remove the pop off fog grill and unsrew the fog housing. And replace the H11 bulb. It should take 5 min for boths sides, it's that easy.

yes, very easy. you need torx bits which is the only thing that could slow you down.

Re: how hard is it to change fog light bulbs

You don't necessarily need torx bits, so if you don't have them try it before buying some. Just remove the grill covering the foglight and reach your hand around back of it. You'll feel the clip holding the bulb in. Once you unsnap that rotate the bulb to get it out and vice versa on re-installation. The clips can be tricky if you have never used them before so look under your hood to see what they look like and practice on those before doing it without being able to see them.

Re: how hard is it to change fog light bulbs

    cool thanks a lot guys,
i had a quick question about something else.....i had a problem on saturday night, which i thought was the coilpack. Basically after the car shifts gears and the rpms lower, after i try to accelerate it stutters, till i really press the pedal, so i bought 2 coil packs replaced them today after i tested them, check engine light was flashin for a bit and now after i replaced them the check engine light is still on, and also the car runs the same with the same problem, any idea what else that studdering could be, F***** killin me here, i dont know what it could be, i was convinced it was the coilpack, but i guess its not

Kinda hard to find the culprit coilpack if It's not completely dead. Guessing playing musical coil pack and listening if the idle changed did not work. Do you have acess to vag-com? It will tell you on what cylinder the misfires are happening on. If I remember correctly, 95% of them time the coil pack on cylinder 3 is the first to fail...

Did you clear the CEL by unplugging the battery?

And when was the last time you changed the spark plugs? You could be experiencing spark plug blow out.

Re: how hard is it to change fog light bulbs

when im in front of the hood, i changed the one closest to me and the one above it, and that didnt help, i just changed the spark plugs couple weeks ago, i got the ngk idiriums, i didnt clear the code from the battery and i dont have access to a vag-com. So you think its the 3rd one from me then. maybe if the one i changed was ok i can check it by putting that one in the 3rd one.

Not long ago me and a fellow AZiner replaced a bad coil pack (cylinder#3) and for some reason we could not make vag-com work on his car. So we unplugged the battery and the engine management fuse, waited a few minutes and reconnected the battery and problem solved.

Too late on the thread-jacking, but just undcrew your headlight, pull it out just enough for you to reach around and pull out the clip holding in the side blinker.
