My thoughts exactly.......if I didn't care about my paint I would do it, I've always thought it would be fun.

As it is I don't go over 20mph on dirt roads though, and usually avoid them altogether.

plenty of dirt roads down in the pine barrens, but I don't think your car can handle the motorcyle induced "rythms" in the roads, you'll need something more groomed, I know theres a dirt road or 2 off 94 in warwick, but those are public roads and mostly straight

Jeeze. Its quite obvious that you didn't pay for your A4 yourself. Otherwise you would have a much higher level of respect for it. Its not a rally car and was never designed as such. Just because Audi has produced purpose-built rally cars in the past doesn't make your fairly stock (or all stock) A4 into some rally drift king.
I feel sorry for you and your car.
At least you have the foresight to take these antics off public streets...god forbid something happens during your stunt driving...atleast you wont be taking out a family with you.

You can't be serious..........no wonder some people think AZ is a joke....

The "fun" that u think ur gonna have on dirt roads is not worth all the damage that you WILL sustain.....when I was in highschool (way back when), I had friends do dumb shit in their nice cars off-road, and ended up totally their cars, which is the least of your worries if u drive recklessly off-road with a STREET car......be smart, kid

    Re: dirt roads in NJ

Things that can (and probably will) break) driving like an asshole offroad:

    control arms (bushings)
    tie rod ends will wear
exhaust will break off the hangers
new interior squeaks will show up
dirt will force it's way into places you never knew it could get
your air filter will need to be cleaned/changed much sooner
your engine/transmission/driveline mounts will all take a beating
premature wear on just about everything in the car

How do I know? I got my car when I turned 16 and I beat the hell out of it. It's now almost three years later and I've grown out of that stupid shit, but I still have a lot of money to spend for it to be back in 'like new' condition.

Notice all of the dirt on the underside, and all of the scrapes/dents in my front sway and subframe

too much launching (it's bad for your clutch even when you launch in the dirt)

    one of my offroad adventures:

sure, it's fun now... but fixing all of the stuff you break really sucks. plus, you have to remember that painting a car (the only way to really fix all of the chips/scrapes you'll put in the paint) costs $3000+.
