s4 or a4 grille

Took my car to get my tires rotated. When I got the car back, I found the front grille cracked and my bumper scratched. The tire shop accepted liability so I'm going to an autobody shop they recommended me to. The question now is should I get an s4 grille or get the same grille i had originally on my USP. I've taken a look at the s4 grill and it doesn't look any different than the a4 one. If it makes a difference, the car is black, and the chrome around the grille is plasti-dipped black.

A4, the S4 does nothing an A4 grille can't and they're are almost indistinguishble.

if they are gonna pay for the damages, just go on ebay and buy a s4 grill for 170 bucks pre-plastidipped. imo the s4 grill looks awesome

yeah they are going to pay for hte damages. Any reason why the ebay s4 grill is $170, and only $74 on ecstuning?

I bought my S4 grille from ecstuning (OEM) and it is a bit different than A4. I think the interior "mesh" is widely spaced (quattro badge won't fit on it) and has lighter look to it.

what about an oettinger or caractere?

The S4 grille isn't truly black, it's a dark greyish color and the slats in it are a bit different than the A4 grille.

Because your car is black with a plastidipped trim, you should definately stay with the A4 grill. Also, it'll match better with your other grille.

The aftermarket grilles are way too expensive for me.

Wow! I never thought so many people would choose an A4 grill over an S4 grill, especially when someone else is paying the bill! S4 grill is dark gray, has more pronounced vertical slats and a more aggressive look. I would get the S4. If you end up not liking it and want to sell it, it will be worth much more than an A4 grill. Can't loose!

I like the construction of the S4 grill but i would paint the whole thing black. Not a big fan of a dark grey grill with black trim on a black car.
