225 bigger turbo

hey guys, wondering if you could help me out.

I was looking at getting a bigger turbo for my 2004 TT 225, and I was wondering how big of a turbo I could put on it with out having to beef up the motor first. How much bigger can I go if any? and was probably ganna go with a Garrett.

The biggest that can be maxed out safely on the stock bottom end is a GT28RS. You can run a 2871R as well, just watch the peak tq when (and if) ever on race gas. You can even go to a GT3071R or GT3076R on the stock bottom end, however limit the boost to no more than 20psi
