just got one like 220301850159. Works perfect with the 409 software... however the software only worked on my friends XP and not on my Vista - be prepared for that

where do you get the 409 software from?

ross tech website... im using 311.2 and it works on both xp and vista. you can find a "full" version for free if you search around a bit

the ross tech website has 409 and 311 versions for free that you can download and use. However those versions don't let you do alot of stuff (for example i couldnt do TBA because of the restrictions). You will still be able to get rid of the seat belt chime, do the 1 push unlock mod and a few other things. Im considering paying the 99$ because theres tons more that you can do. Also i was upset (and surprised) by the fact that you can only use the 700 version of the software with the 3rd party (like alpha bid's) cables and not the newest 800 version.
