As the title states, is anyone runnin this setup? The 17'' stock wheels that are polished? im not sure of the name of them, so heres a pic for your clicks!

also, the disc brakes on my car are quite rusty, am i able to clean these up somehow? im not looking to get a full shine but with the r8 reps you can see right through to them and its not a pleasant rusty look lol

and this isnt the greatest pic but you can KINDA see the rusted areas...

i have the 17s and as far as the rust from what i know as you start to use your brakes the rust will come off. that happens to all rotors if the car sits in the rain outside for a while without movement.

no for real, it should go away even with everyday driving. haha I wouldn't want you to waste your pads away. How long has the rust been there??

    Re: Polished 17 Stocks Wheels?

dont mean to jack the thread but anybody know a good way of taking off the brake caliper without having to do much work bleeding the breaks. I dont want to paint them with them still on the car so I have to take them off. I know a4mods has a nice write up on how to paint them but it doesnt go much into how to bleed the brakes.

its rusty because they're old..and your brake pads arent touching the lip of the rotors..so its not hitting the rust to get it off..justget sum new rotors
