and I have a question. If I add a testpipe am I going to have to remove the CAT and so will the CEL go on?

yes you need the testpipe file from APR or another company. And that is the same testpipe as in the group buy forum on here...

yes light will come out, you will need a chip in order to remove it...some say you can buy some type of bypass to remove the light...not so sure how that works.

i talked to someone today and they said, its a o2 sensor you can get for like 15 bucks that will fix the problem.

it lifts your o2 sensor. or you can go to the parts store and try what the B6 and B5 guys used to do with the Spark Plug Foulers. STFA for more on that as to what size and what not.

theres a lot of quick and easy solutions other than getting a chip.

That's what you need atop. It basically moves the o2 sensor away from direct exhaust stream, tricking the ECU into seeing a difference between 1st and 2nd sensors. It works 95% of the time, you may still get a code and light on but very seldomly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a test pipe really doesn't make sense without a chip. At stock boost levels, you really won't feel a difference. Chip first, then test pipe. Just make sure the chip you get will eliminate the CEL for when you do go with the test pipe.

hey man im sneaking over from the b6 forum. I bought something like that CELeliminator, but found one on Ebay for about $10. Have it in my car but not installed yet, i should get it installed sooon and ill let you know. Go to ebay and type in o2 extender.

Edit: and I have GIAC and it didn't eliminate that code bc i did the TP before the Chip, but they might have it for the B7, not sure
